****** IMPORTANT NEWS!!! ******
- First and foremost: Blacks Editor is under new authorship.
-- Marco Negri is no longer developing for the Amiga. I was one of his beta-
testers on the original Blacks Editor. I enjoyed using the program so
much, and since I kept in occasional touch with Marco, when I found out
about his decision, I couldn't let this fine program fall by the
wayside. So my company, Isengard Developments, bought the sources from
him, and has resumed development on the program.
- This release.
-- Purpose. The primary reason for this release, which is pretty much just
an interim release, is to get Blacks Editor back out to the Amiga
community and gather some exposure again. I didn't do much, other than
what's noted below.
-- Bug fixes. I really haven't done much to the code, other than spending
a lot of time poring through it, getting to know Marco's programming
style and the structure and function of Blacks Editor. I did fix a
couple of Enforcer hits, though. That's always a Good Thing(tm).
-- Miscellaneous info. I added my name to the credits (an ego thing,
really :), and updated the date in the program.
-- Contact info. I've removed Marco's address and internet information,
since I'm sure he doesn't want to field questions about a program he's
no longer working on.
- My plans for Blacks Editor's future.
-- I intend to keep up the development trac that Marco started, and will
try to implement all of the features he planned on including, as well
as others. I'm always open to suggestions, so if you have an idea,
please tell me.
-- I will be on vacation for the month of December, so there won't be any
development happening at that time. I plan on picking up as soon as
I get back, though.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and especially for having a(nother)
look at Blacks Editor. I hope you enjoy it.
